Die Technologie Pioniere des Worldwirtschaftsforums WEF

Das Weltwirtschaftsforum (World Economic Forum) verleiht jährlich den Preis der sog. „Technology Pioneers“.
Dazu habe ich ein Interview mit Rodolfo Lara Torres, Head of Technology und Knowledge Integration beim World Economic Forum, auf der Le Web 2008 in Paris geführt.

Ein Tech Pioneer ist ein Unternehmen mit einer innovativen Technologie, die das Potential hat die Welt zu verändern.
Das WEF recherchiert und selektiert mögliche Kandidaten auf der ganzen Welt. Seit 10 Jahren verleiht das WEF diesen Award und vergibt jährlich den Titel an ca. 30 Unternehmen.

Um Technologie Pionier zu werden, sind vier Kriterien entscheidend:
1. Innovation: Ist die Technologie neu und einzigartig?
2. Impact: Wird sich die Technologie langfristig entscheidend auf Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft auswirken?
3. Sustainability: Ist das Unternehmen zukunftssicher und landfristig stabil aufgestellt?
4. Ist das Unternehmen noch kein WEF Mitglied?

Die Gewinner werden aktiv in die Aktivitäten des Weltwirtschaftsforums integriert und werden zu Veranstaltungen, wie der Jahreshauptversammlung in Davos, eingeladen.

Das World Economic Forum hat 34 zukunftsweisende Unternehmen zu den „Technologie Pionieren 2009“ ernannt. Hier ist die Liste der Gewinner:
